• Check the ice maker settings and try resetting the ice maker by unplugging it for about 20 seconds then plug it back in and test.

A malfunctioning water supply inlet valve (if your refrigerator has one) will directly effect your refrigerator ice maker by failing to open and supply water. To check this valve operation you will need to locate it on your appliance and test it with a volt meter.
A bad thermostat can also cause problems for your ice maker since ice will only form over a specific temperature. To test a refrigerator thermostat, you can see if the thermostat turns the compressor on and off and verify that the temperature probes work by putting them in crushed ice.
